If you want to use the public transport after arriving in Berlin you should buy a single ticket (valid 2 hours after stamping, 2.10 ), a day ticket (6.10 ), or a WelcomeCard (valid 72 hours, 32 ).

Arriving in Berlin-Tempelhof:

Public Transport:

Go to the U-Bahn (5 minutes walking distance) and take an underground train in the direction of Alt-Tegel. For the Westin Grand Hotel go to Französische Straße, for all other hotels go to Friedrichstraße. Except for the Forum Hotel all hotels can be reached in 5 to 10 minutes walking from there. For the Forum Hotel, change to the S-Bahn heading east (directions Flughafen Schönefeld, Ahrensfelde, Strausberg, Wartenberg, Erkner - you can take any train) and go 2 stations to Alexanderplatz.

Arriving in Berlin-Schönefeld:

Taking a taxi from the airport costs about 35 .

Public Transport:

From outside the airport building take the bus shuttle to the railway station (5 minutes) and take the Airport Express (directions Wittenberge, Schwerin, Nauen, Rostock, Stralsund, Neubrandenburg) which takes you in 20 minutes to Alexanderplatz (for the Forum Hotel) or to Friedrichstraße, from where you can reach all other hotels in 5 to 10 minutes walking. The airport express leaves every 30 minutes from the railway station. Alternatively, you may take the S-Bahn , direction Westkreuz, which leaves every 20 minutes and takes you to Friedrichstraße and Alexanderplatz in 40 minutes.

Arriving in Berlin-Tegel:

Taking a taxi from the airport costs about 15 .

Public Transport:

There is no underground or train connection to Berlin-Tegel. You must take a bus from outside the airport building. You can take Bus 109 or X9 (which is faster) to Zoologischer Garten and then take an S-Bahn heading east (directions Flughafen Schönefeld, Ahrensfelde, Strausberg, Wartenberg, Erkner - you can take any train). Alternatively, you can use the special airport bus ‘TXL’, which leaves every 15 minutes and brings you directly to the area of the suggested hotels. There in no special ticket required, you can buy normal tickets. See section public transport. For the Westin Grand Hotel you should get off at ‘U Französische Straße’, for all other hotels in ‘Unter den Linden/Friedrichstraße’, except for the Forum Hotel which is at the terminal station of this bus at Alexanderplatz.
